Ingredients
Instructions
-
Boil water and add in salt. Add pasta
-
In a separate mixing bowl, mix shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and oil.
-
Mince garlic and shallots. Grate Parmesan and keep on the side(Also works with regular pre-grated parmesan)
-
Get a pan on a medium heat, add in oil and sear shrimp for 2 minutes on each side.
-
In the same pan on medium heat, add in butter and fry garlic and shallots.
-
After garlic and shallots are fragrant, add in heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes or until combined.
-
After combined, turn the flame to low and add in parmesan. Mix well till fully combined and smooth.
-
Salt and Pepper to taste. (This is a good time to taste and adjust your sauce. Feel free to add more Parmesan here if you like as well)
-
Add shrimp and pasta into the sauce and mix while the flame is still low so the sauce can stick to the pasta.
-
Optional: Add in some pasta water if the sauce is too thick. Mine was good but this is an option to loosen up the sauce.
